About Me

 

      My background includes teaching at various grade levels within the public educational system, working with students who have developmental deficiencies, and business. I have a passion for working with people of any age, of which I am very proud. My most recent experience in education was as a virtual teacher, this unique opportunity taught me to improve my communication skills. While employed with this school I was able to work with various groups teaching different materials but most of all it allotted me the opportunity to learn how to individualize each students education. It was a valuable learning experience for all involved. I was also able to learn about new ways to incorporate technology into everyday use in education. This as a teacher is becoming a need in order to reach our new generation of students.

 

       Previous to this, my experience has been in the public school system, working daily as a substitute teacher, with many long term Kindergarten positions. Many of the schools had a large need for English Language Development. During this time I assisted in various classroom environments. This taught me to be flexible in my work environment as my job opportunities would be drastically different day to day. I was also still completing my education during this time so it offered me a generous flexibility in my schedule. I have also, completed my course work for my Masters in Education with an emphasis on Curriculum and Instruction.
